Wa (the “App”) is an app for improving your relationships with the real people close to you. Precisely because it handles information about real people, we put privacy protection at the center of its design. This policy explains how personal information is handled in the App and on this site (wa-circle.com).
1. Information We Collect
Account information
- Sign-in information via Apple, Google, or email (one-time code authentication). We use Firebase Authentication as our authentication infrastructure.
- You can also use the App as a guest (anonymously) and later carry your data over to an account.
Information you enter (the private layer)
- The nickname, relationship, assessment answers, and your consultation content for each “person close to you” that you add.
- These are, in principle, treated as “private information that only you can see” and are never shared with the person themselves.
Usage and device information
- Statistical information for quality improvement, such as app usage logs, device type and OS, and crash reports.
2. Purposes of Use
- Providing the App’s features (type estimation, suggestions for consultations, generating drafts you can send, and so on).
- Maintaining and improving the service, and investigating issues.
- Responding to inquiries and providing important notices.
- Preventing misuse and ensuring safety.
3. About Processing by Generative AI
Some features, such as type estimation and draft generation, use generative AI. All transmissions to the AI go through our servers (Cloud Functions); we never store the AI service’s API keys on your device. The content sent is handled to the minimum extent necessary to provide the feature and confirm safety, and is never disclosed to unrelated third parties.
4. Handling of Information About “People Close to You”
The App is designed as a personal note to help you engage well with someone — not to “judge” them. Estimated information about third parties is private and can be deleted at any time. Please do not use it to manipulate or monitor others. As for the information you enter, please use it under your own responsibility, with consideration for the other person’s privacy and rights.
5. Sharing With Third Parties / Subcontracting
We do not sell your personal information. To the extent necessary to provide the service, we may entrust processing to the following trusted providers.
- Google (Firebase / Google Cloud) — authentication, database, and server infrastructure
- RevenueCat and Apple / Google — managing subscriptions and processing in-app purchases
- Product analytics tools (such as PostHog) — statistical analysis of usage
- Generative AI providers — text processing via our servers
We may disclose information to the extent necessary only when there is a legitimate reason, such as a lawful request for disclosure.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain the information we collect for the period necessary to achieve the purposes of use, or for the period required by law. When you delete your account within the App, your related data is deleted within a reasonable period. For questions about deletion, please contact the desk below.
7. Security Measures
- Encryption of communications, access controls, and layer separation via Firestore security rules.
- Use of App Check to prevent access from unauthorized clients.
8. Use by Minors
If a minor uses the App, please do so with the consent of a guardian. We handle information with age-appropriate care.
9. Cookies on This Site
This site (wa-circle.com) does not, in principle, use tracking cookies for advertising purposes. For analytics, we use a privacy-focused tool that does not use cookies or identify individuals (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and we only see statistical information such as page view counts.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this policy in line with changes in law or improvements to the service. We will announce significant changes through in-app notices or on this site.
